Ace & Tate- Try, Try Baby!

You may or may not be aware but I have a dirty little secret I've been keeping to myself for quite a few years now... I'm a glasses wearer. Or more accurately I'm occasionally a glasses wearer, when I can remember to put them in or I'm in dire straights with a killer migraine. Every so often me and my glasses will make a rare appearance on Instagram Stories but that's as far as our love affair goes. Don't get me wrong I haven't the slightest problem with specs and I think they look wonderful on other people (with my boyfriend being an avid fan of wearing them) but on me they just seem to always fall short. Expectation never seems to meet reality. I partly blame this glasses conundrum on two things; my kind of abnormally small pea head and my complete and utter indecisiveness. But as I type away on my laptop I know it won't be long until I need to reach for my glasses and so I've reached a point where enough is enough. With the welcomed help of Ace & Tate I'm determined to find my perfect pair and this is where their free Home Try-On service comes straight to my rescue.

Ace & Tate offers a Home Try-On service which means if like me, you don't live in the city centre you can still find the perfect frames for you without devoting an entire day to a trip into town. Simply select up to 4 frames you like the look of on Ace & Tate's website, ensure you've selected the "Home Try-On" mode and then wait for them to be delivered within 5 working days. After which you will have another five days to truly mull over which style is right for you! It couldn't be easier. I've got to admit trying on glasses is actually really fun and it completely takes the pressure off having to decide there and than in store (which is always where I've fallen short in the past). I don't know about you but I much prefer trying everything on in the comfort of my own home and I am happy to now add glasses to this list.
As an oh so indecisive person one of the biggest perks I loved about this free try on glasses at home service is it allows you to be as creative as you like with your frame selection. In store I would generally make a B-line for a million glasses, all of which are one of the same. With the Home Try-On service I felt compelled to pick four completely different frames in order to have a varied selection.  it dared me to be a little adventurous which after fives years of not finding the right frame for me, was exactly what I needed! I ended up falling in love with a frame called Neil in Desert Spice. It was a super round shape (which as a self proclaimed pea head is not something I would normally go for) in a vivid orange metal. Something about them just suited my face and I guess this is conclusive prove that where glasses are concerned you have to think a little outside of the box.

Eventually I actually decided on the rather lovely Pierce model in Tiger Wood. These are a super classic, ever so timeless shaped frame in an even more timeless tortoiseshell. The shape has a real nineties vintage feel that I adore- think Hugh Grant in Four Wedding And A Funeral- and the I always find tortoiseshell has an incredible knack of suiting virtually any outfit or any colour. The frames I picked are the perfect day glasses, easy to wear and not over power on my teeny weeny head! I often find Ace & Tate frames feel light on your nose which is another key factor when deciding on my frames. I feel like I've finally managed to find the perfect frame I'd be proud to wear out and about. I'm so glad I got there in the end.
